The Dining Club Presents: Game Season 2024

  • Whitestown, D, K32 XY97 Ireland (map)

Join us for a specially curated multi-course dining experience held on the grounds of a historic Irish estate

The Dining Club is a unique hospitality experience that encourages community, drawing guests together in an intimate, convivial atmosphere while showcasing a passion for food.

Traversing past and present and deeply rooted in a sense of place, the project sees chefs Kelly Keogh (Whitestown House) and James Gabriel Martin (Leviathan) curating dining events with a focus on seasonality, heritage and story-telling. Each one is unique, designed around a theme, with changing menus, entertainment, and table settings.

Whitestown House Estate, nestled near The Naul in North County Dublin, is set on 130 acres of farm and parkland. The historic demesne has remained intact since 1722 and has a long and storied history of hospitality, marking it as the perfect venue for the events.

The house was designed for entertaining. Guests are welcomed into the drawing room for pre-dinner cocktails and canapés. The legendary long table in the dining room can accommodate up to 16 guests, and by its very design encourages connection and conversation.

In the winter months, candlelight and crackling open fires bathe all of the rooms in a warm, orange glow. In the spring and summer months we host woodland gatherings beneath an ancient fern-leaved beech tree on the property and have picnics on the lawn.

Game Season 2024

We are extremely fortunate here at Whitestown House Estate to have access to an abundance of our own home-reared organic game produce.

As well as being home to a herd of native red deer, our spacious estate also boasts pheasant, partridge, pigeon and wild duck. We also source a rich selection of wild Irish game from suppliers across the country who we have trusted relationships with.

This gathering will emphasise and celebrate these gifts, highlighting what our area has to offer at this time of year. Join us for a multi-course tasting menu that takes your on a tour of the landscapes of Ireland.

Sustainability, seasonality and ethical practices are of deep importance to what we do.

We are appreciative of all the ingredients that we use, implementing as much as possible in our cooking and preparation while being mindful to avoid unnecessary waste.

This event also includes a ticketed option for a carefully crafted wine pairing created by Nisea Doddy, Head Sommelier of The Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin. Let us celebrate what nature has given us, unwind and dine together.
